Went for school Feild trip. The instructors were very nice. They kept the pace quick but with lots of details. We were there in the winter, so everything was inside. You do require inside shoes.

Very interesting to see the contribution of Calgarians and Albertans to the Military and RCMP service to Canada. There are only a hand full of exhibits but well done. It is a fast visit but worth a visit

I liked the way our Canadian history was presented. It was fun and very entertaining. I wished there were more shops or food stalls other than a souvenirs store.

We had brunch and included was a visit to the museum. The brunch was really good, both the offerings and the service. You can order off a menu as well as the having the buffet. We had eggs benedict and also the buffet. Really good, as was the sticky toffee pudding. I hadn't been to the museum for years, close to 20 and it has expanded since then. It tells a story about the fort and Calgary and area from 1875 to about 1940. Most of it was very interesting but a small part cost the two stars from the review. It was a tiny part of the experience but so annoying. The management has taken it upon themselves to rewrite history as far as relations with the former land owners is concerned in the Treaty 7 exhibit. Phrases like '150 years of oppression and cultural genocide' are used. The author has no clue what those are, or maybe he was thinking he was in a different museum. And his reasoning behind the statement that the treaty 'was broken almost before the ink was dry' was not effectively explained. Maybe the author suffers from White Guilt Syndrome. Another museum visitor noticed it too and we had a good chat about it.

We went for Sunday brunch. The buffet was good, standard fare for brunch buffet, there was also an omelette station. You can order from the kitchen as well; crepes, French toast, eggs Gaucho, eggs Benedict. We had lobster eggs Benedict and eggs Gaucho, both were tasty. The service was fantastic, we'll definitely be back again.
