  It is not an overstatement to say that my electrical engineering career depended upon the existence of the Active Calgary store during my younger years, and especially on the patient people who worked (and currently work) there. Finding that store was one of the defining moments of my career.

  My experience with Active Tech has been great. I've shopped here for many years. With Radio Shack and CamGard long gone Active is my go-to fix for parts and more recently test equipment. Super happy with the digital scope I bought there recently. After talking to a really nice lady who has worked there for years I got what I needed without overspending. So today I went back and got a function generator. They have a good selection of parts, and what they don't have they will order in if needed. Parking is great and the staff are always pleasant to deal with. Today for the first time I got to meet the Manager (Peter). Nice guy.

  I check prices frequently with stuff on the web, and so far Active has been better when you factor in postage and wait time. Plus, I still benefit from seeing alternative parts and components side by side. For hobbyists this usually means new ideas and more business for the store.

  P.S. I did end up buying my Raspberry Pi's here...yes... Pi's...have bought several different models along with other electronic gear from this store...excellent products and service with a smile...

  Nice layout with easy to find sections. Some of the staff are super friendly, and all of them are very nice. I enjoyed my visit here and appreciate their help with my item gathering.

  They were knowledgeable in everything they stocked and completely understanding when I told them about the products I was building. They even offered alternatives I haven't considered.

  I have been in the store once, I have visited this web site once, I have not made any purchases as of yet, would like to Purchase a Raspberry Pi, however, will not allow myself to be gouged,hoping for a positive experience. Looks like their google + site need to be activated...

  Today I went to this store with a problem with my aurdino I've been going at it for 3 days and can't figure out what I am doing wrong but I could not get it to light up my led strip light , there is a disconnect somewhere . These guys at Active Tech are extremely smart , friendly and very helpful they were able to help me trouble shoot and fix the problem . The staff working there are smart in all different fields so no matter what your question is know it will be answered or at least pointed in the right direction. This is definitely going to be my go to store for all my electronic needs. Thank you Pete and young Asian genius guy ;) for your help .
