Just a great park all around. You can find quiet places to enjoy the scenery or you can find plenty of more lively spaces to people watch. I have come to appreciate this park more with time and its proximity to downtown and inner city neighborhoods makes it a good place to take a break if you are busy downtown or a starting place for adventures along the river.

A nice little green space in downtown Calgary. Has skating and beautiful Christmas light display in the winter. In the summer you can find Shakespeare in the bow and lots of different festivals, including folk fest

Beautiful place to walk or ride your bike. Busy during lunch hour when office works get out for a noon time stroll. Lots of large trees. Multiple bridges allowing access to the island. The City of Calgary Parks Department puts up beautiful hanging flower baskets throughout the park in the summer and an build an ice rink in the winter on a lagoon in the centre of the park. They also hang multiple strings of Christmas lights in the trees and on the bridges. The iconic Peace Bridge connects this park to Memorial Drive. There are a few food truck vendors in the park during summer months. There is a kids outdoor wading pool open all summer long. You csn take any one of many pathways to stroll along the Bow River. The paths are cleared of snow in the winter which allows you to commute to work on your bike year round to the downtown through Prince's Island Park. Multiple concerts and festivals are also held in the park during summer months. There are multiple bathrooms inside the park. Lots of grass areas to sit and relax and stuffing flower beds to enjoy.

Great little park for a stroll. The park has events going at times too, including a medium sized amphitheater. Depending on which end you start, you can end up in Chinatown or Kensignton, both great options for food and drink.

My fiance and I enjoy walking in this park quite often. It is peaceful and large enough to take a nice leisurely stroll. Plenty of access to the island and plenty of pathways that allow us to observe the native wildlife without disturbing them. My only complaint is that when they have festivals going on, a very large portion of the park is inaccessible to anyone not willing to pay for the festival.
