  Secondly, sounds like this mom likes to place the blame on everyone else but herself. Good luck with that honey. How would you feel about waiting for an appointment because somebody ahead of you decided to be tardy, and then you were forced to run late for whatever else you had planned that day. We all have busy schedules. Respecting others' time goes both ways.

  It's been my pleasure to be Dr. Koutsils' assistant for the past 6 years. He has worked on my teeth and my kids' teeth and we can all vouch for his painless dentistry techniques. I find him to be conservative in his treatment planning, he will never perform procedures that are not necessary. If he wouldn't recommend a certain course of treatment to a member of his family, he will not recommend it to a patient.

  My family has been seeing Dr. Koutsil for over 7 years now. I just read a review from an angry mother about him not seeing her little boy and had to comment.

  Absolutely disgraceful. NEVER visit this place!!! The nasty dentist while picking food out of his teeth, just denied my 4 year old son his appointment to get a filling for being 7 minutes late. He's been waiting weeks for this appointment due to me only having 1 day off during the week every 2 weeks. The first appointment to get the X-ray they had the nerve to charge for an emergency visit, although it wasn't. And now this today. Thanks for wasting a month of our time then ultimately for nothing!!!

  I take issue with the criticism of Mr. Patel' review. Mr. Patel was in the room and everything was explained to him at the time. Dr. Koutsil was very much correct in doing the restorative work that was done. Mr. Patel was given an estimate for the scope of work that was originally planned, and when it turned into a larger scope of work, it was billed accordingly. The insurance company paid their portion for the work that was done (and done properly) to Dr. Koutsils' office. To ask for a refund for the portion that the insurance company paid does not make sense. The procedure was done properly, and Dr. Koutsil was compensated for the work that he did. I would be happy to explain to Mr. Patel in person if he does not understand the nature of dentistry (why certain procedures predict the best outcome), and how insurance billing works. He can call our office and ask to meet with me, Nicole.

  My family and myself have been registered with Shawnessy Smiles since 2013. From our very first visit at the office, we were made to feel welcome and comfortable both by the friendly competence of the staff and the pleasant environment of the office itself. We are very pleased with the high level of professionalism and courtesy from Dr. Roman Koutsil, his assistant Nicole, Amanda the dental hygienist and Becky the receptionist. They take time to explain every procedure and are very supportive and thorough. My daughter can't wait to have her first braces fitted by Shawnessy Smiles.

  First of all, a dentist who did not pack her son into his schedule because she was late?! Is she serious? My goodness, I place more value on a dental office that would do that instead of the mindset of "more people = more money".

  I hope your son gets the dental care he needs soon, and I'm sorry that it's not Dr. Koutsil who will not be providing it, because he really is the best dentist we have ever had. My kids love seeing him, and he is kind and gentle.

  Hey Everyone! Need a great dentist who runs on time? A dentist who is ethical and never recommends unnecessary treatment? A dentist who explains what's going on and what is best for you? A dentist who can give freezing that is painless ( I'm not kidding, I have no idea how he does it but I have never felt a thing!). A dentist who can alleviate dental fears? Do you want to go to a small office where everyone is nice?
