Unfortunately, (to anyone with any inside information and their eyes open) there are too many holes in Leon’s so called leadership. Do yourself a favor, and don't trust the opinions of others. Once you learn the Word for yourself, you'll see that man cannot be trusted, only God can. Ultimately, the Lord is in control, so whether Leon and this place is for Gods Will or otherwise, we all have to answer to the creator eventually.

I don't normally write reviews, however reading the one on here about this church being "the place you've been waiting for your entire life" is rather dubious.

My husband and I are so grateful for Springs! Every week I leave feeling rejuvenated, encouraged, and challenged, and thankful to be part of something so much bigger than myself.

While I give the guy credit, (for take a small church he inherited, and building a church empire, which spans into taking over organizations such as 'The Miracle Channel'), one has to question the obvious: Who stands to gain from what's been done? Who decides what happens to all the funds that are collected, (from this Non-Profit, Non-Taxed Organization). If you think it's being given away to the masses, to help those around you, think again. Some, perhaps, however this ultimately is a business. Leon is a businessman, plain and simple. Leon has obviously implemented the disciplines he has read about over the last several decades, to help build what he currently has. At the end of the day however, Leon is like most people; about Leon, and Leon's family.

Asking any of the individuals who regularly attend here for unbiased information is futile, as a substantial portion of them show up to climb the social ladder, and shamefully enough suggest it's in the name of Christ. While there is clearly something off here, there is also good (people), so we have to be transparent, and not just look at the (questionable) leader & pretentious socialites, as those types are everywhere these days. I'm simply saying to look at things (here) for what they (really) are. It's another 'Christian' social group, asking for your money every week, and trying to hammer home that "God is building His church! Give us money, because it's God's will". I'm paraphrasing a tad, however that is the gist of what is stated habitually.

The Word is clear about what the church is, and where it is. The church is us, and we are it; it's in our hearts, and in everything we do. It's in the life we live for Christ. Quoting one of Leon's sermons once: "Well everyone is trying to get your money these days, so why not give here? We don't charge attendance, it's the least you can do". Excuse me sir, but your arrogance is just plain ridiculous sometimes.

My husband and I attended the carol service this week, not what we expected as we have been raised as Anglicans, however we really enjoyed the service and the words spoken by the minister. I have read some of the negative comments about how this is run as a business. One need only look to the Roman Catholic Church and the Anglican Church as an example of churches run as business.

Leon has essentially made a living off of researching & integrating great teaching principles, tactics, wisdom, and business practices (from greats like Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, etc.) and combined it with what he refers to as "Spirit Contemporary Christianity". While it is quite subjective to state whether this is "wrong" or not, it's not exactly original, (although Leon sure likes to act like he invented the formula). Regurgitating + rewrapping far greater men’s material, does not make you a great, (or good) man either Leon.

I received a cartoon pamphlet distributed by this church that was racist and islamophobic. This church is extremist in their views and offensive in their communications. I would discourage any decent human from attending.

Tithing is important, (as the secret to living is giving) however there are MANY great sources to tithe to. Giving monthly to charity where you can tangibly track where the finances are going for example, is something I value. I am honestly not trying to be offensive here, however I'm not going to 'take his word for it' as to where the mass of donated funds goes; unless of course one blatantly ignores Leon and his families personal financial portfolios.

While most of the people who attend Springs seem great, Springs Church, (lead by Leon Fontaine) is heavily based off merging 'modern Christianity' with 'prosperity theology'.

Leon essentially stands on the heels of greater (aforementioned) men, echoing their wisdom, and integrating it with his own personal experience - that hardly classifies him, as being in the same category.
