  Friendly cafe with excellent coffee. Very busy on weekends with a youngish clientele. Some food, pastry selection is "ok". Good place for reading a book, meeting friends or people walking. Much more action compared to the Starbucks next door.

  This place is the most popular coffee place in Kensington. It is always busy and hard to get a table sometimes, but a great place to catch up with a friend or do some studying. Some of my personal favourites are the Great Divide (chocolate, coffee, raspberry) or the matcha latte. Their coffee is great too if you want to keep it simple. Lots of character to the venue and friendly staff - you can't go wrong.

  Nice atmosphere to have a cup of java and/or a huge slice of cake. Show up in jeans or a suit(I did) everyone is welcome. Laid back with students doing their homework or other just relaxing. Impressive list of java and tea. I had the chai which was not too sweet and served in their own mugs. Yes mugs not paper cups.

  I really like this place and everyone in the Kensington area knows it. The only downside to it is that folks coming from downtown for casual meetings have a tough time finding a parking spot. But if your a Kensington or west Hillhurst local not your problem!! Be prepared to fight for one of the comfy window seats or by the fireplace.

  It is the cutest coffee shop in the city, that sells gluten free food, and alcohol. It gets really busy sometimes, and at its peak hours it is hard to find a table. But if you want that F.r.i.e.n.d.s vibe definitely go here. It is one of my favourite places in the city and the employees are so kind.
