  Worst Safeway I have ever been to! I used to live in the area so sadly I shopped here frequently, and it was always understaffed, dirty and poorly run.

  Small but well stocked. There is parking both outside on the tarmac (limited spots) but they do have an underground garage. Overall, well located for Kensington/Hillhurst folks.

  Went in last week, and nothing has changed. There was postings all over the store for a promotion where you donate to the food bank and receive air miles. When I got to the till I said I would like to donate, the cashier was very confused despite the fact that there was a sign for the promotion hanging on the till, and flashing on the screen every 10 seconds. He had no idea how to apply this promotion so he asked his supervisor, she said the promotion was finished, but the sign right in front of me stated that the promotion finished the next day, when I pointed that out, she then yelled that they were all sold out. I asked the cashier how they could be sold out of me donating money, he just shrugged. Ridiculous!!

  The store has a cozier feel than some of the larger stores but because of limited space, there is not the variety of products. I live downtown and it is a quick ctrain trip to the store.

  I went to another Safeway the following day, and asked about the food bank donation, and the cashier simply typed in a code, and I was able to donate.

  Not a very great place. Small for a Safeway. No public washrooms unless you get a key. Poorly kept. There are a few good staff there but a good majority of them pack the products oddly and don't have the greatest of social skills. Conveniently located is their best thing for them

  Good location. Clean, and has friendly staff. Parking is a bit sparse but unless you go at a super busy time, you shouldn't have an issue finding a space. Nice that it's next to the train as well. No more Starbucks in there though which I miss. Other than that, great.
