  Stopped here yesterday because i only needed a few things. The only positive thing i can say is that it has a good selection of products. The prices were visibly more expensive than walmart and i don't mean by a few cents. The dog treats i usually buy were $3.26 more for the same size. The rest of the things i bought were the same all way more expensive. When i bring my purchases to the counter the woman could not be bothered to help ring me through but instead just continued on yelling her conversation to the other cashier. When she did finaly acknowledge the fact that i was there she proceeded to give me the heaviest sigh ive ever heard and started to scan my products. At which point i asked her how her day was going and she responded with silence. She gave me the total and she again was clearly in some kind of pain when i handed her my cash because she again let out a pained sigh like it was killing her. Will not ever shop here again. The prices i could have lived with but the attitude from this person was just disgusting.

  I am very disappointed with my experience. That employee let his emotions and ego take control of him. I normally get very good service at that location (Adeel at that location is one of the better CSR). It’s not the Safeway service I know, and very disappointed with the service that day.

  I do not understand why he got so angry. He started to talk with another employee while looking at me with anger as if I robbed him. I also don’t understand why the promotion didn’t come up automatically.

  I visited Safeway in Castleridge, Calgary location last night around 8 PM to pick up a just of milk along with few other thing. While I was in the Milk section at the back of the store, I saw a big promotion sign " buy 4 products and get milk for free". I saw that as a good promotion as I need a few things from that selection anyway. I picked up my stuff to a self-checkout counter, and started to scan. I realize the milk price didn’t get discounted for some reason. I ask the person (didn’t catch his name, but he’s white, 5’6” with blondish bushy hair) monitoring the self-checkout. He replied that he has never heard of that promotion. I asked him to check the sign, as was sure that I read it properly. He went and came back with 3 to 3 and half foot sign that showed the promotion. He proceeded to explain that that sign is a promotion of the product and not for anything else. Basically, he denied what he saw on that sign, and there was no expiry of that sign either. I was not convinced by his lame excuse , and he got really angry. He said he’d give me the promotional price, but he didn’t have to. He threw the promotion sign toward another employee with anger.

  Very calm and super warm staff. There are offers for Christmas in various products. I never buy a lot of fruits and veges in there, I see they usually be of more price than other grocery stores.. But I like to shop meat in here, its fresh and neat.
