Best dog park in the south. Ridiculous amount of room, access to the river with multiple doggy beaches. Biggest issue is lack of parking. If you're coming during peak times, it's entirely possible you'll have to park on the service road beside the park, which is not only illegal (no parking signs everywhere) but dangerous.

By far the biggest and best off-leash park in Calgary. 62 hectares divided into several sections, all fully fenced and with plenty of garbage receptacles. There's even river access if your dog likes to swim.

Lots of parking. Convenient location. Washroom facilities.

Not sure what the city budget is like for dog parks, but that should be their next improvement here. Take out some of the massive park area and add another lot.

Great off leash park to walk the dog. Or if you are a dog lover. Upper and lower fenced areas and river access as well. Large fenced areas, with a large fenced training area. If you need to practice recall, etc.

I love spending time at Sue Higgins Dog Park with my little guy. It is very well maintained and people are very good about cleaning up after themselves. I like that there is water access since my guy overheats very easily.

The best part of the park is the Perk and Pooch dog and people food truck. Nakita and Christian, with their dog Biggie Smalls are so wonderful. They always have water out for the dog. Also lots of yummy dog treats plus don’t miss the buffalo sausages for the people.

Busy busy busy off-leash dog park. This is a great place to bring your dog if you want to socialize him/her as it almost always busy. There are two large fenced areas so they can run to their heart's content. There is also a small fenced square where you can work on training exercises without fear that you're beast will get distracted and bolt. The facility is great but parking can often be a challenge due to its popularity.
