  Growing up, I worked in a movie theater just like this. My five star rating based on the overall experience, including nostalgia. The popcorn is the best I've had in the city, and that staff is extremely nice. They could usefully renovate the theater, but I understand that money is probably an issue.

  What can you say about this institution in Calgary? Best theatre in the city they show old movies all the time and the place is a time capsule

  Keep these nostalgic theaters going and all their charm. I love the Plaza Theatre and have been going for decades.

  Events from Rocky Horror Picture Show (props encouraged and for sale on-site) to comedy like Todd Barry & local performers. Classic old theatre. Nothing fancy, but an intimate and fun-spirited atmosphere... with really good popcorn.

  Great old school theatre. This place is really an institution! Be sure to get in on the fun with cult classics such as Rocky Horror Picture Show playing around Halloween and Easter! Great fun to get involved and throw some rice around!
