  It was really nice! Really enjoyed the atmosphere there, and the event was a good time. The people were just not super welcoming, but nothing to feel like you're not welcomed. The architecture is nice and I would love to come back here for another event, and also recommend it for anyone planning on staying downtown Calgary. It's a very nice classic building that gives you a little historical piece of the city.

  Staff is not well trained, the pool was cold when we visited and the pool deck was generally dirty and needed maintenance. We arrived on the 31st so they must have been low on staff however at the pool there were three women sitting at the front just talking. Our hotel room did not have working heat however was newly renovated and looked nice. The manager eventually moved us to another room on a higher floor and comped us breakfast which was very nice! The Rimrock had excellent food and brunch was great, the service was decent but not what I would expect for the prices they were charging. We will not return in the future based on this experience.

  The hotel itself was excellent, what I have come to expect from any Fairmont location. The staff was excellent, always going above and beyond for the guest. The room was comfortable and clean. My wife and I decided to stay in for dinner, being Christmas Eve and all. We ordered room service and it was excellent!

  The food at the Oak Room was fantastic. I had the banh mi sandwich which was terrific. Fairly minor selection of beer on tap, so if that's you're thing then you won't be wowed. The service was pretty good overall. Friendly, though a little slow. Our server looked pretty busy, so I don't expect that to be common. The atmosphere was great. Pretty cozy experience overall. I'd definitely go back!

  Rooms were spacious and high spec, and the spa was just what we needed after a busy two-week holiday.
