  I have been going to the Bowness Library frequently now & really appreciate it & the staff there that help out frequently.

  Great neighborhood library. The librarians are always helpful and polite. It is a small library but still has a good selection of books. If they don't have what you want you can put a hold on any books in the Calgary Library system and have it delivered to the Bowness Library. Holds usually take 2 to 3 days unless the book you want is checked out.

  One interesting thing about this library is it use to be the location of Bow Cycle. That is why their is a neon bicycle wheel on the top of the library.

  Love this little library. Has a small town feel. Great for kids as it is full of interesting toys and is carpeted (better cushion for crawlers). Definitely going to be a regular destination for us!

  It's a smallish library but it has everything you need. There are computer spaces, quiet study areas and children's area.

  It also has internet connected desktop computers, and Chromebook laptops which adults with picture IDs can borrow for use inside the library. Additionally they have a photocopy which you can use for free with a library card up to $5 worth of copies per month. They have a nice area upstairs for reading, playing board games, playing chess on a giant set or using the Chromebooks.
