  In the end, he showed me a few things about guitar repair and charged a reasonable amount for his work. Gotta say, I can usually trust the guys that have been doing this type of work their whole lives for an honest and sound job and Miles did just that.

  I pulled up to the building and it was clear that the owner was in the middle of a move. I had with me three guitars - 2 main ones and a kicker. The first question he asked me was "are you a pro or hobbyist?" I said "pro, i'll need these back in 1-2 weeks for a tour". Well, Miles (the owner) beat that by setting up and troubleshooting the guitars right then and there. He did exactly what I asked and challenged me when I gave him vague answers like "gauge doesn't matter" or "just set it up", prompting me for a more definitive answer.

  If I could give Fret Works zero stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE! Especially if you're interested in taking his guitar repair course. It is hosted by Miles Jones, the course is VERY over priced (more than 2 years of college for 12-14 months) and he is VERY rude! VERY RUDE!! We had inquired about his course and while doing research into the program and if we could afford it, he responded with a terrible email telling us not to waste is time because we hadn't responded to his email in three days. THREE DAYS! I can understand a week but there was no need for how rude he was. NEVER GO HERE! EVER EVER EVER!! A monkey could do a better job.

  If you ever need anything repaired this is your guy. Miles is absolutely amazing. He takes his job seriously and provides outstanding workmanship.

  My Boyfriend took in a busted up Les Paul two days before a big gig. It came out better than it went in.
