    We purchased a Nintendo Switch which was defective out of the box. They refused to return or exchange it. Their actual reasoning was "why would we take it back if we know it's defective, we can't sell it to someone else". Basically, anything you buy there is "your problem now".

    Be aware they will not take back any defective electronics they sell. Purchase only from reputable electronics stores such as Best Buy or you are taking a large risk.

    I got sold an generation x iPhone with earphones with a small slit in the protective layer. I didn’t notice for a couple of weeks after purchase and they continued to work despite the issue, but within about a month they stopped working altogether. I went in for an exchange which was refused because of physical damage that voids any warranty. I understand that there was no way of proving that I bought them that way but I found it very frustrating that there is no accountability for selling a product that should last longer than a couple of months. Apple’s customer service and policies have gone way downhill since I started purchasing their products over a decade ago. Disappointing that no one was willing to budge on their policy despite the obvious flaw in the system

    The customer service is a nightmare! The left hand does not communicate with the right. The people there are incompetent. when they wanted my feed back on my experience, the manager called me. I told him how poor the service was and he defended his people and interrupted my talking. Clearly he wasn't even listening to what I had to say. He told me that they hire the best talent in the world. Now that's a joke!

    I have no issues with the service, they tried to do what they could to fix my macbook pro without costing me money and when it turned out I would have to have a part replaced they did it quickly. What I did have issues with was the employee at the genius bar I spoke to only seemed interested in talking to my boyfriend who was there because he'd given me a ride. They even asked him if he wanted a call asking permission to do a factory reset if they determined it needed one, even though I had made it clear from the beginning that it was my computer and I was the one knowledgeable about the issues, and about Apple products in general. Keep on providing a good service, but tone it down with the sexism.

    So sad to say that the customer service and support was beyond unacceptable. The story behind the review is so unbelievable I won’t even bother to bore you with it. Bottom line; DO NOT GIVE THIS LOCATION YOUR PATRONAGE!!! good note: Apple Support phone staff are unreal and amazing.

    Their support line confirmed this is a company-wide policy. The support person even told me he wouldn't buy electronics from Shoppers Drug Mart.
