He has a good sense of humor and answers all questions short but straight to the point.

I wish I could share something about the doc himself, but I didnt even get to 1st appointment. Due to a mixup with confirming my appointment, I have been "fired" as a patient. No "sorry for the mixup", no "lets see if we can fix this". Just..."find another doctor"!! What ever happened to customer service?

2- Be a good listener, and ask your questions if those haven't been addressed by your doctor.

I have been seeing Dr. Marck for 9 years now. I go every 2-3 months and he keeps my ears clear of wax. Otherwise, I would be back to sitting in walk in clinics. When there are other issues, his office will find a way to get me in when needed.

I had a great experience with Dr Marck. He did nasal surgery to remove polyps years ago and I can now breathe through my nose. As well, cleaned out my small ear canals more the once so I can hear. Also the first surgeon that I've met that has a sense of humour!

Dr. Paul is a very experienced and knowledgeable ENT. He may spend only a few minutes with each patient, but that would be enough for him to understand the whole situation and what needs to be done.

Don't let the receptionist make a mistake booking your appointment otherwise YOU will be the one to pay the consequences! She mixed my appointments up with my dad's (a common problem him and I deal with because we have similar names) and she cancelled mine without my knowing so I showed up one day and had to find out I had to resched. I certainly was prepared to sort this out but she was arrogant and dismissive during the rebooking to the point that I had decided to just save myself the trouble and look for another ENT (there's got to be another good ENT in a city of 1.3 million right?). When my dad tried to book on a separate occasion, she refused to set an appointment for him, citing that he had been 'rude' during his previous visit (she was actually referring to me - my dad was not even in Calgary at the time and 'rude' was how she described my refusing to accept a second booking). At this point our doctor intervened and tried to clarify that we were two different people. You'd think that this would have cleared things up but instead she dug in and refused to believe we were two different people (!?), writing several colourful and unprofessional emails to my father (a 70 year-old man with diabetes who can hardly walk) and to our doctor that we (or the one conflated individual my dad and I were in her mind) were banned from the clinic. I certainly can believe Dr. Marck is a talented doctor, but unless you are prepared to deal with this type of facism from his staff just avoid yourself the trouble.

He has performed Septo-Rhinoplasty on me recently, and everything went well and smoothly, as planned.
