  They then proceeded to try to sell us an additional insurance on our vehicle which was 8.99$ a day as the cover we had didn’t include break down cover (which it did - I had the policy with me) plus 11.89$ for something else and 20.00$ for winter tyres (all per day!). This sorry saga went on for ages but all in all their attitudes were terrible. They are trained to push their sales techniques and when you don’t agree they stop and gang up on you. If you want one piece of advice from my trip don’t use dollar car hire they are complete and utter rip off artists and con merchants.

  Rip off agency. Estimated costs for rentals are way off. Quoted 2 day rental one way for $202.00 actual cost at drop off $354.00. All hidden BS fees. Returned the car full of gas so they couldnt use that excuse. They couldnt even explain some of the charges.... Any where but this company.

  As per the previous complaints, they slip in charges on the bill when picking up the car. We called back to the agent, she was incredibly rude. She didn't even listen to us and kept ignore the facts. Terrible customer service. Almost ruined our holiday!

  Well then, after 17 hours of travelling we arrived in Calgary to pick our car (Toyota Corolla or similar) we were immediately told by the lady at the desk that the car that we had booked wasn’t big enough for us and our bags. We had 3 suitcases and 4 carry on bags. She pointed out several times that she was ‘4 foot and she would just fit in the car’ and that ‘you wouldn’t get 4 bags in it no way!’ (Please bare in mind we had the same car in Toronto 6 months prior). As we ‘wouldn’t all fit’ she tried to sell us another car - a dodge caravan which was a additional 35$ a day on top of my original 200 pounds.

  The lady at the front desk was horrible and the most horrible person I ever met, I do not know why she works at service-sector job. She was blaming me for Dollar rental cars mistake, and even kinda yelling at me for thier mistake. It was so embarrassed .

  Worst service ever!!!! I traveled to Canada so many times, however this is the first time I had a very bad time with the service! 1st, the lady in the front desk treated customers very bad! She seems very unhappy to explain more to customers. 2nd, when the first time I asked for the waiting time, they told me 25 mins. After 30 mins, that lady told me 45 mins, and she claimed that I heard it wrong.... there were 6 customers waiting in the line by the time I double checked the status, and that lady felt not sorry to the customers at all, and keep saying 'see, everyone is waiting' to everyone who waited so long..... by the time I got the car, it's been 100 mins.... 3rd, this lady kept threatening customers to purchase their insurance even all customers said their credit card covers, she will just gave you a 'how come you didn't buy insurance from us' face!!!

  When we questioned her and another vile man, they all but shouted ‘I’m not explaining again if you’re not going to listen to me’ and ‘if we didn’t get it this time we wouldn’t be told again!’. Please remember that when I was looking to hire a car, I stated clearly there were 4 people and 4 lots of luggage and this was the vehicle that was recommend. I also purchased the additional AXA insurance but still had to leave my card details and agree to 500$!!
