    They are courteous and respectful, unfortunately they do not understand their product neither they have an idea what customer service is. Personal should be trained.

    Wish I could leave a minus 5 review. Rented a car late at night in Kelowna. Same as other reviews: I was thrown the keys and told to sign... saying the car was in mint condition. No one came out to do a walk around with me. In fact, I was told to go find it myself in an unlit parking lot. Lo and behold there was damage to the front hood. How am I supposed to take a picture of that in the dark? How can they say there is no damage when there clearly was damage?

    2. Every time I pick up the vehicle the words are. "The car is perfect condition, signature and initial here" . About 50% of the time that is not the case. Coincidentally, I ended up renting the same vehicle I already reported windshield and body damage. Guess what: "The car is perfect condition, signature and initial here". That tells me they are charging people multiple times for damages that someone for sure has already paid. Their inspection when you return the car is trilled. It should be the same when you pick up, or at least keep record of damages as National Rent a Car does

    My point really is, I almost didn't rent a vehicle from this location due to the bad google review, but I'm glad I did because both the vehicle and service were excellent.

    AVIS Preferred member. Excellent customer service. Rentals were available on time and vehicle options were also available if pre-selected class wasn't. Straightforward process.

    The rental (including insurance and taxes) was just under $200 ($197.98 CAD to be exact). Today I find out they ran $414.83 CAD through our credit card.

    I have dealt with Avis at the Wingate Calgary location for a couple of months now and am very pleased with their professionalism. My rental vehicle is always the one that I reserved, it is clean and the staff are prepared with all of the paperwork to get me out and on the road in a timely fashion. I would recommend this Avis location to all of my friends.

    Bottom line, I was stuck with them as the company has a contract with the hotel where they are located. Fortunately, I managed to close a drop of pick up deal with another company.

    3. If I book a vehicle with one month notice I am expecting to get the described vehicle category. If I rent a standard size car I do not expect to get a suburban SUV under "Congratulations this is an upgrade". I do not need it, I do not want it, however, what can you do when you are picking up and the words are "We do not have any other vehicles"

    I have always said the way google review works is just terrible - I wish I could review google itself. Reviews posted should be administered and Not one-way direction the way it is right now with google.

    1. I am a long time renter with Avis and for years this is the only place in the world where my preferred status never gets me any benefits. Car is never ready and I have to wait for drop off as well. Lady is always alone

    I am not interested in talking to you, but I am interested in getting it resolved. Refund me what I am due or I will continue escalating this... up to a lawsuit if need be. And yes, I would be using the testimonials on here as evidence for the fraud that is AVIS.

    I was told to drop the car off by 8 PM in Calgary (this Midpark car rental place). I get there - early - with a full tank of gas and the reception tells me to go drop the key off in a "drop off" box... which is exactly what I did.
