Not only was I upset that they didn't own up to their mistake of not calling me and making me wait a month with no communication, they tried to convince me that I was mistaken on their efforts to do so. The person on the other end was either confused or lying . It's a cool shop with nice bikes but they are just lacking on that customer service tip.

Dear campione - it is very hard to gain new customers , but very easy to lose them.

TL;DR: Seems like a great tune up, but it took forever. No one seemed to know what's going on at the shop and they charged me an extra 20% without consulting me.

The only reason why they are getting two starts is because I think the actual product, the tune up, seems great. Everything else about my experience with this shop was terrible. I dropped my bike off on 4/17/2015 and they said it would be ready 4/23/2015. Waiting on 04/28/2015 no calls, so I drop by because luckily I had another bike to ride on. They had no clue when the bike would be serviced. I'm like whatever I already gave it in and it's no skin off my back. I received a call from them on the 30th but they don't leave a voicemail. I guess the bike was ready but I wouldn't have known since no info was given.

Don't rely on these guys for advice. They sold me a set of tubular tires for $300, then would not take them back after admitting their mistake, that the tires would never fit on my bike.

instead of get frustrated waiting on a spoke, I took my money elsewhere and bought a new wheelset and wanted to see how long it would take for campione to get back to me as an experiment.

I call again 5/11/2015 cause I'm in no rush to get it. The person who answered the phone had no clue if my bike was ready. He say's he'll call tomorrow. Again, whatever. He calls back, a couple of minutes later and says I can pick it up. Head to the shop and find that they've done work on the bike that I didn't ask for, at an extra 20%. The man helping me acts like it's no big deal, saying that he normally on $1000 bike who cares about $20 for cables. but I just wanted a tune up for $100 so an extra 20% is a chunk.

February 2015: Campione's expert mechanic (Lee) discovered a 30% hairline fracture across the top tube of my Argon 18 Gallium Pro - during a routine service. The bike is new but sustained damage from a crash, which progressed into a potentially deadly frame failure.

I needed to get a spoke replaced and went to Campione as I was refereed by a friend. When I went into the store it was understandably busy , so I waited around until someone had an opportunity to help. (During this time there was another frustrated customer in to pick up a bike frame for some reason, and upon his inspection they had chipped the paint job on his frame so he left unhappy - should have been my first clue. )

They told me that they needed to order a special spoke for me for my Shinmano r500 wheel. Wanting to support my LBS and not just get it overnight shipped online which would have been faster, I decided to pay upfront and they would call me when it arrived.

Customer service was severely lacking for my experience with them. Would not go back personally.

Stephan & Lee managed a fantastic process: having the frame photographed for a quotation for repairs in B.C.; preparing & shipping the frame; and rebuilding the bike when it returned from Vancouver. The final price was well under the estimate that I approved. The Argon 18 is back to 100%, including repainting, and I am extremely happy with the skill & service that I received from Campione Cycles. They prevented a disaster - if the frame fracture had not been found before the road season.

This store offers a well thought selection of high quality merchandise. I've had a wonderful experience with the mechanic, who seems dedicated and adept. The turnaround can be slow, but it's likely due to high demand. I've never experienced any of the snootiness or elitism found in other bike shops in Calgary at Campione, but if it were to happen, it would somehow feel more okay here. This place would have the history, knowledge, competence, and dedication to back it up at the very least!

Thanks for the response, but the real screw up was with the two tubular cross tires that you sold me previously. They would never have fit on my track bike frame. Your response was to try and sell them on Kijiji, which they didn't sell after months. Anyone can have 'great customer service' when things go well. When stuff like this happens and you invoke your return policy, that is when your true colors come out. Buyer Beware!

I called the shop 2 weeks later , and they said it had not arrived, but they would be sure to call me when it did. I called the next week, but the phone line was busy for 2 hours - maybe they take it off the hook so they don't have to deal with customer phone calls? When i got through a few days later they said it would be there "soon" .

Exactly one month and one day ( may 6th - june 7th) received a phone call form them asking if i was going to come pick up my spoke as they had it for 2 weeks. I told them they hadn't bothered contacted me to inform me that it was in - to which the person on the phone told me he phoned multiple times trying reach me and had left messages on my answering machine.
