  Wanted to deposit an RBC cheque. The guy was insisting on freezing it all and release 500$ only... And said that he would release only 100. But, as he is in the mood now, he will release 500... lol

  Just plain terrible customer service, I was just trying to find out if they had some foreign currency on hand that I could come by and pick up. Apparently the procedure is to go through a central number where you are forced to leave a message that they will check at the END of the day! If you want to do something quickly you cannot. It is literally faster to get in your car and drive to the branch to see if they can help.

  I guess the answer is if you need foreign currency just go to one of those exchange places in the mall.
